VAN #1 Runners
Ragnar Experience: Pete has a Ragnar Trails West Virginia under his belt and will be making his Ragnar Road debut.
Pete, we hear you're a bit of a scientist. What's your greatest achievement?: "One time we mated a bull dog with a shih-Tzu. We called it a bullshit."
Ragnar Experience: Ellen will be the 1st first timer of many on this run and is psyched!
Ellen, what advice did Sarah give you about Ragnar?: "Yeah I called her up. She gave me a bunch of crap about me not listening to her, or something. I don't know, I wasn't really paying attention."
Ragnar Experience: Pethick is making his Ragnar debut and is the first of 5 Ethosource employees to run.
Brian, what was your response when Sarah said you're running Ragnar?: "Just when I think you couldn't possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this... and totally redeem yourself!"
Ragnar Experience: Josh is Ragnar rookie #2 running this year and is fresh off a great Broad Street run.
Josh, what inspiring words will you share with your van if they're stressed?: "We got no food, we got no jobs, Our pet's heads are falling off!"
Ragnar Experience: Sarah ran a Ragnar DC in the fall, and this will be her first of 2 Ragnars this year!
Sarah, what will you say if some freak along the course needs a ride?: "We don’t usually pick up hitchhikers… but I’m-a gonna go with my instincts on this one. Saddle up partner!"
Ragnar Experience: Bird will be anchoring Van 1 in her first ever Ragnar!
Bird, who's that McDaniel girl who talked you into this?: "You know, I don’t really recall. Starts with an S! Let’s see. Swim? Swammi? Slippy? Slappy? Swenson? Swanson? Oh, yeah! It’s right here. Samsonite! I was way off! I knew it started with an S, though."
VAN #2 Runners
Ragnar Experience: Pat is a former Division I football player making the big move to Ragnar for the first time.
Pat, how do you feel about us using your van for the race?: "You know, the thing that really chaps my ass is that i just spent my life savings turning my van into a poodle. The alarm alone cost me $200!"
Ragnar Experience: Nick is an incredibly decorated runner and will bring his championship caliber to Ragnar for the first time.
Nick, how's your relationship with the Ragnar race director?: "If I know Mary as well like I think I do, she’ll invite us right in for tea and strumpets."
Ragnar Experience: This is Ian's 11th Ragnar, and he'll be running DC for an even dozen.
Ian, your wife is running Ragnar. How did you get her to marry you?: " I said, “Do you love me?” And she said, “No, but that’s a really nice ski mask.”"
Ragnar Experience: This is lucky number seven for George, and his first Ragnar since 2014.
George, how are you feeling about all the hills in this Ragnar?: "I expected the Rocky Mountains to be a little rockier than this. That John Denver’s full of shit, man."
Ragnar Experience: Tim is the final member of our team making his inaugural Ragnar run.
Tim, you're barefoot. What happened to your shoes?: "I got robbed by a sweet old lady on a motorized cart. I didn’t even see it coming!"
Ragnar Experience: Karis will be running her 8th Ragnar, and will follow it up with number 9 in DC this fall.
Karis, what will you say to older runners joining a Ragnar?: "Hey, I guess they’re right. Senior citizens, although slow and dangerous behind the wheel, can still serve a purpose. I’ll be right back. Don’t you go dying on me!"
